Job Description

My client works with Listed and Unlisted companies to provide independent advice on  a range of subjects including investor targeting and engagement, and general Investor Relations management.  Due to a growing client base, they are looking to hire at the associate level. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Involved in the day-to-day servicing of a range of corporate clients (private and public), working very closely with and under the supervision of senior directors;
  • Fulfil a supporting advisory role acting as a reliable point of contact for the corporate client, liaising with corporate management teams at ‘C suite’ level;
  • Active involvement in results preparation, assisting with the delivery of investor relations programmes and results statements;
  • Analytical tasks at an intermediary level utilising third party data sets (Factset etc) and client data, typically across Microsoft Office tools;
  • General analysis work across a broad range of topics feeding into market positioning; equity story; share-register mix; capital structure; capital markets strategy;
  • Providing broader advisory services to clients such as communicating investor feedback and market intelligence;
  • Contribute to the firm’s business development through new client or project origination and ongoing service enhancement;
  • Maintain and develop relationships with other City professionals to help deliver successful client outcomes. 

Essential skills

  • Real interest in capital markets and how companies operate and perform;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with listed companies or in equity capital markets generally;
  • Understanding of financial statements and company accounts; 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Able to take direction from a director, but also use initiative to complete tasks;
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with particular competency in Excel;
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail;
  • Capability to think creatively and to problem solve;
  • Articulate, professional and team player. 

Ideal

  • Experience working with Small and Mid-cap listed companies;
  • Strong educational or working background in finance, business or accounting;
  • Knowledge of working with third party data sets and terminals (e.g. Factset, Bloomberg).
