Vice President – Healthcare Team

My client is a leading global mid-market investment bank based in London with a highly reputable Healthcare Sector team who have an enviable track record of advising on a wide range of transactions within the Healthcare/ Pharmaceuticals sector.

The Opportunity

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a successful and growing team at the Vice President level. The successful candidate will work with a small group of professionals, with the benefit of direct access to the leadership within the team, assuming significant responsibility, experiencing strong deal-flow, gaining transaction exposure and the ultimate opportunity for progression.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Full deal/ project management experience
  • Leading on execution of debt advisory and capital structuring and restructuring transactions
  • Preparing and presenting marketing materials
  • Building valuations and financial models
  • Overseeing and engaging more junior members of the team
  • Developing relationships and working closely across the Firm with other sector experts, and externally with clients and other professional advisors
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions.
  • Start to build own network of contacts (e.g. lawyers, accountants, consultants and potential clients such as junior staff at private equity firms)

Person Specification

  • Must have at least 7 10 years of deal execution experience to include M&A sellside advisory from a boutique bank or Big 4 Accountancy firm from their Corporate Finance / M&A Team.
  • Strong academic record (at least a 2.1 degree or equivalent)
  • Healthcare and/or pharmaceutical experience is essential.
  • Strong financial modelling skills (Excel).
  • Experience of writing presentations (PowerPoint) and information memoranda (Word)
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level if confidentiality.
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Must have a high standard of accuracy and strong mathematical skills.
