M&A Vice President - FIG Sector

My client is an award-winning independent investment bank based in London with a highly reputable senior management team who have an enviable track record of advising on a wide range of transactions within the Financial Services sector.

The Opportunity

This is a fabulous opportunity to join an extremely successful and growing team at the Vice President level. The successful candidate will work with a group of professionals, with the benefit of direct access to the leadership within the team, assuming significant responsibility, experiencing strong deal-flow, gaining transaction exposure and the ultimate opportunity for progression.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Full deal/ project management experience
• Leading on execution of M&A advisory transactions.
• Preparing and presenting marketing materials
• Building valuations and financial models
• Overseeing and engaging more junior members of the team
• Developing relationships and working closely across the Firm with other sector experts, and externally with clients and other professional advisors
• Serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions.

Person Specification

• Must have at least 7 - 8 years of Investment Banking experience ideally from a bulge bracket bank or an elite boutique advisory house within the FIG sector.
• Strong academic record (at least a 2.1 degree or equivalent)
• Strong financial modelling skills (Excel).
• Experience of writing presentations (PowerPoint) and information memoranda (Word)
• Must be able to demonstrate a high level if confidentiality.
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Must have a high standard of accuracy and strong mathematical skills.
