The Business

My client is a leading mid-market investment bank that provides M&A, ECM & Debt Advice to their clients in the UK & Europe.

The bank has recently hired a highly respected senior investment banking professional with a proven track record of originating, executing and managing mid-market infrastructure and renewable projects.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an entrepreneurial and exciting team at either the Senior Analyst or Junior Associate level with 3 – 4 years of Corporate Finance or Financial Modelling experience.

You will be someone who wants to be at the heart of the transaction, working on the deal rather than briefing someone else. An experience in infrastructure, utilities or energy from an investment bank, or project finance firm would be advantageous, along with deep knowledge and familiarity of financial project modelling which is key to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Producing company valuations, financial modelling, preparation of materials for both client and internal presentation
  • Attending client meetings and presentations, preparing financial requests from clients and work with third party advisors
  • Analysis for investment opportunities by market, segment or sector.
  • Preparation of statistical analysis of fund performance.
  • Work as a team to get the required results

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years relevant work experience within M&A or Project Finance or from a modelling team or similar discipline
  • Outstanding M&A skills developed in either a product or sector team
  • Proven deal execution experience with excellent client presentation (must be demonstrated with a deal sheet)
  • Excellent quantitative skills with highly developed financial modelling skills.
  • Self-starter with a pro-active attitude towards the responsibilities assigned.
  • A team player who is flexible and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance in demanding/time-sensitive initiatives
